Over the years, PAHCCDI Nigeria has been in the forefront in the commemoration of the annual World AIDS Day which takes place every 1st of December. PAHCCDI uses this platform to sensitize the communities on trending issues about HIV and AIDS.
As part of the 2019 World AIDS Day celebrations, PAHCCDI Nigeria provided HIV counseling and testing services to 83 members of the community and referred 14 persons for comprehensive services. 275 persons received different types of IEC materials on HIV Prevention while 8921 pieces of male condoms and 377 of female condoms were distributed.
PAHCCDI as an organisation leads the fight against harassment of FSWs, stigma and discrimination against People Living with HIV and gender inequalities.
